Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use Ecobite and this website, whatever device they use and however they browse. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline showing where you are and a link to skip straight to the content.
• Pages are built with proper headings, lists and landmarks, so screen readers can find their way around.
• Images have text descriptions, and app screenshots describe what they show.
• Text and buttons have enough contrast to read comfortably, and pages still work when you zoom in to 200% or use a small screen.
• If you've asked your device to reduce motion, we turn off our animations.
• The moving parts of the home page can be paused with the Pause animation button under the phone, and stay paused on every page until you press Play animation.
• Forms have clear labels and tell you exactly what to fix if something is missing.
• We check every page with an automated accessibility test (axe-core) before we publish changes.

What we're still working on

• Automated tests can't catch everything, and this website hasn't yet been checked by an independent accessibility expert.
• The Ecobite app is a separate product, and we're still improving its accessibility, one screen at a time.
