Nachos

Ingredients

For 4 portions

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  2. Spread the tortilla chips in a single layer on a large baking tray (use two trays if needed so they are not piled too deep).
  3. Scatter the grated cheddar evenly over the chips.
  4. Bake for 5–8 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and just starting to bubble at the edges. Watch carefully so the chips do not burn.
  5. Meanwhile, shred the lettuce, dice the tomatoes and slice the black olives and jalapeños.
  6. Remove the chips from the oven and immediately top with lettuce, tomato, olives, jalapeños, salsa and dollops of sour cream. Serve straight away while the chips are still crisp.
